There is no maximum word count, and you're free to make multiple pieces of art if you wish to do so. However, the minimum limits are non-negotiable.
Please ensure that any writing done for the Ganqing Bang is entirely original and unpublished. We will not be able to accept any work that has been published anywhere prior to the event. However, unpublished WIPs will be allowed!
Having a Discord account is necessary for this event, as this will be where most of our communications regarding important announcements and check-ins will take place.

FAQ
Q: What is a bang?
A: A bang is an event that pairs writers, artists, and betas to work in a team on one specific piece of work. Teams are made after writers anonymously submit a summary for a fanfiction. Artists and betas pick the summary they would like to work with, and they are then paired with a writer to create one cohesive piece together over the event period!
Q: What is a beta reader?
A: Beta readers are people who specifically read over the writers' fics to make sure that everything is coming along well. They check things like spelling, grammar, and plot, and will work with the writer to make sure that their final fic is ready for publication by the end of the event.
Q: What is a pinch hitter?
A: Pinch hitters are people who sign up to step in if a writer, artist, or beta drops out after applications close, and before the final check-in point. They will take on the role of writer, artist, or beta to fill the space of the person who dropped out, and they must be prepared to complete and post a full piece by the end of the event.
Q: What if I apply as a writer and don't end up paired with an artist?
A: Firstly, don't worry! In the highly unlikely case that this may happen, there are contingency plans in place to ensure that you'll still have the best experience possible during the event. Of course, if the worst happens and you are no longer comfortable taking part in the event, you're also free to drop out.
Q: Do I need to have any experience in prior events to join this bang?
A: No prior experience with a community event is necessary to join this bang! As long as you can meet the deadlines we set, you're encouraged to join!
